In the media

This is good to see. The gay couple in ‘Brothers and Sisters’ are about to start the adoption process on mainstream TV in the US – which will be shown over here soon. I don’t remember this being done before – especially two men. Let me know if you know of any other examples.
Why is this good news?
It might sound trivial but the portrayal of gay people in the media is vital to continue to reinforce and remind that gay people are just people like everyone else. So I’m dead pleased to see this – I might start watching it now.
Told you B&S was the best!! Scottie and Kevin will make great dads as will you!! xxx
Thanks Allison & Jane x
congrats on the adoption process, I also love B&S.
I will follow you on twitter to hear the updates.
Hi Paul and Joe,
I just found your blog and am catching up with it. Great to see more gay couples going through the process and documenting it for others.
Re: gay couples adopting in the media, do you watch “Modern Family” on Sky 1 (Thursdays 8 pm)? It’s a hilarious comedy and among the main characters is a gay couple who have adopted a baby girl from Vietnam. Worth a look.
We’re a bit further on in the process, so you may like to have a look at my blog (or maybe not!). If it’s OK with you, I’ll link to yours from mine.
Good luck with the process.
